 this 7 inch tablet has an amazing price and lightning fast speed (from the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and the dual-core Intel Atom processor) but the trade-off is the screen resolution. It is watchable but the images, while good, are not crisp and sharp. The resolution is more like a standard, non- high definition, computer screen. For example the built-in camera is .3 megapixels where as a basic iPod's is 5 megapixels - big difference.It does have a capacitive five finger multi-touch LED backlit screen which makes it really responsive so navigating is easier. Unfortunately the screen is not fingerprint or oil resistant so it needs to be wiped off frequently. The back is a textured matte deep silver finish resin that is easy to grip and fingerprint proof.

It has no HDMI port so it cannot connect to a monitor or television with an HDMI cable, but wireless connectivity is built-in. I used Chromecast to wirelessly connect and watched HBO Go content from the tablet on my TV without any buffering. It should also work with WiDi, Miracast and possibly others. The resolution comes from the ap, not the device -- so it looked great on the TV.

There is a micro USB port and it has 1GB on-board memory and 8GB eMMC(an embedded multi-media controller - flash memory) storage. It also has a micro SD slot for additional memory which supports up to 128 GB. And, there is a 3.5 mm microphone/headphone combo port.

One of the wireless connections is Bluetooth 4.0 which allows more than one device to be connected at the same time. I connected both a wireless Microsoft keyboard and an external speaker so I could type while listening to music and both performed perfectly. And, the sound is excellent. I listened through earphones and used the Bluetooth capability and played music through a couple different speakers (maximum distance is 30 feet) and experienced no issues. The sound from the on-board mono speaker is mediocre, at best.

It also supports WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n but only at 2.4 GHz. It does not support dual band Wi-Fi an important distinction because most new routers also support 5 GHz which usually provides more dependable and faster connections.

Out of the box the device's battery was almost completely uncharged. It comes with a USB charging cable - no AC adapter. After plugging into my PC, at the three hour mark it was 57% charged and finished overnight. Maximum use on a charge is seven hours. There is a huge on-line user guide (117 pages) which details virtually everything.

Small issues and benefits. The device did not select the proper time zone after I set the automatic location - I had to manually select it. And, the device was not automatically discovered by my PC - something that usually happens instantly. If you like writing aps, the benefit of using an android is it can be written on various platforms with less red tape and no additional fees.

Entertainment

I downloaded some racing games that you tilt the whole tablet to drive with, what a blast!!! No lag, no hesitation, and beautiful graphics.
After that, I tested games like Hay Day, Farmville 2, and, of course, Candy Crush, and some little apps that I enjoy and it handled it all perfectly.
I tried out Hulu Plus, and found no lag, stuttering or screen freezing. I really enjoyed watching shows on this nice sized screen.
It also ran YouTube perfectly.

Storage

I use Google drive to effectively give me more storage room by downloading it to my desktop computer. It gives you 16 GB of storage where you can put music, books, pictures and movies. Once you download the Google drive app to tablet, you've got instant, remote access. You also can put Dropbox on it to give you even more access to files while away from home or just transferring between computers easily.

The sound on this device is OK, but I definitely recommend a little $10 external speaker to make it even louder.
Also another nice accessory to have would be the keyboard stand case, so it is easy to set up beside the bed and watch movies while you fall asleep.

Pros:
It's Quad core design with the gpu in it (means games are not a problem at all. In fact they are a joy to play.)
Runs 4.2 jelly bean (a lot of apps designed for it; many of them free.)
Screen looks great.
I haven't had one thing run badly yet.
It has a very good, sensitive microphone for voice-activated searches.
It can hook up to an HDMI TV.

Had long battery life.
Had quick recharge time.
Most of all, I had fun using it.

Cons:

8 GB of storage: would like to have seen more, but Google drive lets you get around this problem a bit.
Sound could be louder, but it may just be my ears. I would use a speaker or headphones in a noisy room.

Dragon Touch budget tablet with a budget price. Amazing that this level of technology (quad core CPU+ octa core GPU) is available for only $109.99. I just received Dragon Touch one week ago, I charged it for 10 hours before using it. The screen is responsive and easy to use. I have played two Netflix movies with the tablet and the battery still have 20% left. I have owned another tablet Vuru 10" before, but its battery cannot even last for two movies.

I originally bought a little 7" for around $50 because I will be taking an Android developer class this coming semester. I didn't want to spend so much on it that I would be heartbroken if I screwed it up in the process. However, the tablet I got only sported a dual-core processor with a meager 512MB of RAM, making it painfully sluggish to use. I ended up selling it to my room-mate and looking for something with a little more grunt. The Dragon Touch A1X is what I ended up buying, instead.

Pros:

Dragon Touch a great little tablet for the money. The quad-core processor makes screen movement and program launch smooth and quick. The 8-core GPU makes 3D games and backgrounds look and act exactly as they should. The 1GB of RAM makes everything work together seamlessly and without major hitches. Having the newest Android firmware, 4.4.2 KitKat already pre-installed is a treat. Typically tablets and phones in this price range rarely come with the newest firmware and usually do not have the needed hardware to make an upgrade viable. No worries, here. Dragon Touch also has dedicated USB and Host ports, making the use of external keyboard/mouse/thumbdrive/etc. supported.

Cons:
No dedicated GPS. You do get what you pay for and for $99 (bought from another seller), you know you're either going to have to skimp on the quality of your parts, or leave a thing or two off the final design. Personally, I didn't mind that they went this route in favor of the better performing hardware. Rudimentary Location Services do still work as long as you have an internet connection, however.

I added a couple of extra products to make my tablet experience complete:

* While the onscreen keyboard is responsive and adequate for my purposes, I am an old school kind of guy and do prefer the tactile feel of a keyboard I can actually touch. * The keyboard case comes with a USB-B to Micro-USB adapter cable, but the end is not angled. I prefer a clean look so also picked up a better adapter that works well with the case: Pair Left + Right 90d Angled Micro USB B Male to USB a Female Host OTG Adapters

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and the money I spent. If you're looking for a decently built, mid-sized tablet for a relatively small price, look no further. It's not perfect, but for just shy of $100, you're not going to find many with the same specs.
